Job Title: Studio Photographer

Overview:

Only NY is seeking a Studio Photographer to take lead of our in-house photography program. The role will focus on all in-house photography including ecommerce product shots, photo editing, creation of marketing assets, and styled model work. The ideal candidate is ambitious, organized, self-starting, has strong communication and project management skills, and works well in tight-knit office / work environment.

Tasks of Studio Photographer include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a wide range of camera equipment (cameras, lenses, lighting, and specialist software) while regularly employing the use of diverse photography techniques during shoots.
• Work closely with Ecommerce Operations Manager & creative team on all projects details for product photography and marketing.
• Brainstorm, pitch, and execute the creation of promo for social media, newsletters, adverts, & marketing.
• Bring original ideas to the photography program to expand on-brand direction.
• Photograph, retouch, and deliver product shots for ecommerce website and linesheets.
• Maintain clean and organized photo studio. 
• Periodic photo assignments ‘in the field’.
• Experience with product photography editing & color correcting.
• Advanced to Expert skills in the latest versions of Capture One and Adobe Suite including Photoshop.
• Advanced knowledge in studio lighting and equipment management. 
• Strong ideation, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills. 
• Current on photography trends in and outside of our immediate market. 
• Ability to communicate ideas through references and test-shoots as well as verbally. 
• Ability to take direction and work in a team environment. 
• Ability to follow briefs to deliver creative direction that adhere to the target customer. 
• Ability to prioritize and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a photographer in a creative department.
• Degree in Photography or a substantial portfolio.
