The fourth annual Only NY & Friends Invitational kicks off at Noon on Saturday, August 23rd at Bushwick Inlet Park along the Williamsburg waterfront. The event—a 16-team co-ed tournament organized by a broad coalition of players representing pickup groups, small-sided teams and city leagues—is a celebration of the creative spirit of the downtown New York City soccer community.

While competitive in nature (it is New York City, after all), the tournament brings together friends, teammates and familiar opponents for an invitational tournament that includes group stage games and a single-elimination knockout round. Perhaps the highest stakes are off the pitch, with teams wearing custom kits designed in collaboration with some of our favorite local brands, businesses, shops, restaurants and bars. There is no prize money. Only bragging rights and the coveted Only NY x DSNY Home Waste Basket trophy.
