Rockaway Beach
From surfers to swimmers to the Ramones, everyone wants to "hitch a ride to Rockaway Beach." Rockaway Beach is a year-round resource for residents all along the Rockaway peninsula. Beach goers can enjoy the sand and water, the variety of concessions, and the city's only legal surfing beach, located between 67-69 Street and 87-92 Street.

Riverside Park
Stretching four miles from 72nd to 158th Street along the Hudson River, Riverside Park is widely regarded as Manhattan's most spectacular waterfront park. Recreational facilities include a range of sports courts and fields, a skate park, a large portion of the Manhattan Waterfront Greenway (for bicycles), and the 110-slip public marina at 79th street, an important part of New York State's Water Trail.

Prospect Park
Designed and constructed over a thirty-year period (1865-1895) by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, the masterminds behind Central Park, Prospect Park has blossomed into a premiere destination for Brooklyn visitors and residents alike. Contained within its 526 acres are a zoo, the first urban-area Audubon Center in the nation, an ice rink, a band shell, a carousel, and dozens of athletic and recreational facilities.
