Ahead of the 55th Annual New York City Marathon, we're releasing a limited-edition capsule celebrating one of the city's most anticipated days of the year. From the starting line in Staten Island to the finish in Central Park, 26.2 miles bring together runners and spectators from all over the world, with all five boroughs playing a part in creating an energy that brings the entire city together, whether you're running the race or cheering from the sidelines.
Drawing inspiration from vintage athletic wear worn on and off the course, the collection pairs classic athletic influences with city-inspired illustrations that capture the energy of New York during the marathon. Highlights include the Borough by Borough T-Shirt, Nalgene Water Bottle, and Nylon Hat, returning this year in navy with our embroidered speed logo and icons representing each borough around the crown. The Five Borough Run Crewneck and T-Shirt feature original artwork by Vincent Conti, alongside the Liberty Runs Marathon T-Shirt and NYC Borough Run Long Sleeve T-Shirt.
To bring the collection to life, we linked up with a few friends for an early morning group run from our Lower East Side flagship to our newly opened Greenpoint shop. A cold fall morning, a little rain, and a trip across the Williamsburg Bridge made for a fitting start to marathon season. Shot entirely on 35mm and 120 film.
The Marathon Collection drops this Thursday, October 22, at 12PM EST, online and in-store at both Only NY locations.
